This painting depicts a harbour in Loch Fyne, where the blue water is so crystal clear it casts reflections of the quirky terraced homes that stand above it. Fishing boats sit in the harbour as if awaiting their next fishing trip and the hills of Scotland begin to rise in the background, with the purple-tone suggesting heather.
