5. Boulmer - Northumberland Beach Picture.

A favourite beach for local Northumbrians this working beach homes tractors and coble boats that fish off it's sandy shores. There is a small car parks which leads straight on to the sands and a lovely local pub.

4. Beadnell - Northumberland Beach Picture

Beadnell Bay is famous for having the only west facing harbour on the east coast of England. This quaint little harbour is surrounded buy old lime kilns and the huge expanse of sandy bay is home to many sea birds that nest in the dunes. So be careful to keep your dog on a lead!

3. Lindisfarne - Northumberland Beach Picture

This pebble shore beach picture is of Lindisfarne Castle on Holy Island in Northumberland. Holy Island is only accessible at low tide across a causeway and it famous as a settlement for Monks founded by St Aiden in AD 635. The castle featured in this painting was built in 1550 and is open to the public as part of the National Trust.

2. Newton by the Sea - Northumberland Beach Picture

Low Newton with the Ship pub and the National Trust Cottages looking onto views of Dunstanburgh Castle. Take in the amazing views as you walk along the beach at Embleton Bay taking in the castle on route to the picturesque harbour village of Craster.

1. Bamburgh Beach - Northumberland Beach Picture

Bamburgh beach is one of the most iconic beaches in Northumberland with the Castle raised dominantly above the sand dunes. Miles of expansive sands run from Budle Bay all the way to Seahouses with views out towards the Farne Islands and Holy Island.
